Are the Jews God’s chosen people?

According to Paul in Romans 2:29 a Jew is a Spirit filled born again believer in Jesus Christ.

The reality is that the Bible does not teach us that the Jews ever were the chosen people of God. This might come as shock to many and not a lot of people will accept this fact without resistance but the Bible is very clear about it. Although is very difficult to overcome cognitive dissonance and opening yourself up for alternative views on matters deeply embedded in ones belief.
